This is a really nice four panel Whig Rose quilt from the mid 19th century. It is, of course, hand stitched and appliqued. The maker used red, yellow, green and orange on a white background.
This quilt measure roughly 94 inches by 91 inches and has a thin cotton batting. There are 10 stitches per inch includes and double angle quilting on the background and over the saw tooth sashing into the border which has running feather quilting also with 10 stitches per inch.
This is a great example of a mid 19th century quilt. It sold for roughly $3000 and made a great addition to someones antique quilt collection.
