Attractive late 19th century checkerboard pattern summer quilt. Framed in a yellow flower on red border, we actually counted 702 different blocks (26 across by 27 down) forming this eye catching quilt! Created with a colorful striped backing and hand quilted, we counted 8 stitches per inch and it measures approx. 82″ by 80″. We are calling it “shabby chic condition” due to the overall age wear with scattered stains, and it smells like it has been packed away in an old chest for many years!
